Golden Wisdom
A farmer went to the field one day to cultivate. During the work, he glanced at the mango tree and saw a big ripe mango & he picked it.
An idea happened to him not to eat this mango, but to bring it to his wife whom he loved so much, even though he himself was starving. When he got home he called his wife and gave him this mango to show him his love. Very happy with this precious gift, the woman thought directly of her child who had gone to school. She took this mango, thanked her husband sincerely and reassured her that she would eat it afterwards.
The woman hid the mango and decided to give it to her son as soon as he returned from school to show him his love. As soon as the child came home from school, the mother gave him this mango with a lot of joy in his heart. The child thanked his mother warmly for this precious gift and told his mother that he would eat it later. He, too, resolved to hide this mango and make a surprise gift to his father who pays him for school, believing that Dad knows nothing about this mango.
In the evening while everyone was eating the family meal, the child said to his father, “One minute dad, I bring you a present because I love you so much”. He ran to his room and took the mango and gave it to his father. Surprised to see the same mango he had given to his beloved wife to return to him again, without comment, he asked for the knife and shared it equitably between him, his wife and his child. They all ate this mango with a lot of joy.
That’s how love works. When you give love, it comes back to you in another way, because love is the most extraordinary force that governs all the universes of God.
Let’s love unconditionally.

Have a positive attitude in life.
Sometimes, to succeed in life you need ENEMIES! Yes! You need people who will mock you, so that you can run to God. You need people who will try to intimidate you, so that you can be courageous. You need people who will say “NO” so that you can learn how to be independent…I mean how to do it yourself. You need people who will disappoint you so that you can put all your trust in God alone. You need people who will work towards you loosing that job, so that you can start your own big business. You need people who will sell your ‘Joseph’ so that ‘you’ can get to Egypt and be a Prime Minister in a strange land of captivity You need a cruel landlord, so that you won’t be too comfortable in someone else’s house, then you can build your own house on time.
But sometimes, when we are disappointed, we feel very bad and we tend to remain on that spot. Not knowing that the end-point of disappointment is the beginning of your accomplishments. Understand this, “that every disappointment you once had comes with a blessing!” However, it is not everyone that partakes in this blessing that I’m talking about.
You cannot see a new OPEN door while you are still putting all your attention, time and energy in trying to force the closed one to open. And again I say, “No disappointment can ever come without an attached blessing!” So, when the disappointment come, thank God for it and tell “HIM” to open your eyes to see the new blessing that HE has for you!
Disappointment is PHASE1 while accomplishment is PHASE2. I doubt if one can jump the protocols. That is why it is called BREAKTHROUGH Something must BREAK so that you can go THROUGH!

Celebrating my mum
It is because of the many years my mum knelt that am standing today.
As she fought with that dreaded disease she always said that courage does not always roar, sometimes it is the little voice at the end that says I will try again tomorrow.
Day After day she gained strength, courage & confidence by every experience. She stopped looking fear in the face.
During her fight, she believed that the goal is to live a full productive life even with all that uncertainty. She said that no matter what happens, whether the cancer never flares up again or whether you die, the important thing is that the days that you have had you will have lived.
She was a strong God fearing woman who overcame the impossibles in her life.
Mum of late I’ve missed you more than I thought I would ever do.

Happy 9th Month
In the 9th month; It’s when your dreams are supposed to be born, refuse to sit anymore in your comfort zone, it’s time to go into Labor pains, It’s time to seriously claim.
As 9 stands for completion in the bible, this is the 9th month, the month of completion may you see the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control. (Gal 5.22,23),
9 gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12.8-10) and as Jesus completed His work on the cross “about the 9th hour” (Mat 27.46).
Its my birthday .
“Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less attractive. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that wander in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these.”
A year of renewal, a year of growth & a year of enlightenment. This year has been meaningful in so many ways… personally, professionally and spiritually. Pointing the way to the future and evolving how I view #Relationships, and the word #Friendship.
For my birthday today I want the impossible. I want world peace, hunger to come to an end, to end racism, for people not to judge others by the outside, for all ages, colors, races and other differences to never matter, for everyone to have same opportunities for all to live in a world where love prevails, where equality and understanding is an everyday experience.
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln

Complications in life
If a baby’s head pops out at 11:59PM but his legs doesn’t come out until 12:01, which day was he born on? Is there a time limit on fortune cookie predictions? Do they have the word “dictionary” in the dictionary? Why is it that everyone driving faster than you is considered an idiot and everyone driving slower than you is a moron? Can you daydream at night? What is Satan’s last name? Is it legal to travel down a road in reverse, as long as your following the direction of the traffic? Can animals commit suicide? Can you buy an entire chess set in a pawn shop? What do you do when you see an endangered animal that is eating an endangered plant? Is it rude for a deaf person to talk (sign) with their mouth full of food?
This is how complicated life can become! Sometimes in life, there are no answers to some questions

Sleep well mum; you are missed. 7th anniversary.
Remembrance in life’s passing is the truest form of love one can give, for a memory should never die and a love should live forever in the heart of another. 2nd March 2008 at 1500hrs, at KNH cancer ward, her heart stopped.
Some days there are not words to share the love and hurt I feel. Some days there is nothing to write that will make the pain less real. So today I will simply write: I miss you more than words can say, I miss you every day Mum. Mothers are faithful companions and confidants even in the most difficult times. Mothers dedicate their lives to caring and providing for their children both physically and emotionally. They always seem to know how to help them to overcome problems and thrive in spite of them. A mother’s love is irreplaceable, which makes losing her to death an incredibly painful experience. While sons and daughters of all ages carry within their hearts a dull and lasting ache where they once felt love and security, it is important they continue searching for the happiness their mother always desired for them.
It was a long journey for my mother and her family. She was a good mother in spite of having cancer. She was strong to beat the disease every time it showed its ugly ways. It’s ugly to say but there is a sense of peace that just came over me in the last couple of years knowing that she is not suffering anymore. It’s such a long story. Everything she went through I felt that I was going through. In that journey she told us that “Some days are good days and some days are bad days and you take it as they come” Some days there won’t be a song in your heart but she sung anyway. “Seeing how she rose to the occasion to have to go through something that’s very frightening and unknown and still maintain her hope made us believe that everything will be alright. She was all hopeful. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell. Mum fought, and until the last minute she fought like hell. She finished all her therapies; chemo and radio. Though she was very weak; with her hair gone, needles all over, she never gave up, she was hopeful that she will be well; she had to be well, but God had other plans for her. It was time for her to rest. She completed her last therapy session on Friday 29th at 4pm and just when our hope was so high that she has completed her therapies she rested on Sunday at 3pm. As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit. One must not forget that recovery is brought about not by the physician, but by the sick man himself. He heals himself, by his own power, exactly as he walks by means of his own power, or eats, or thinks, breathes or sleeps. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. Anywhere is paradise; it’s up to you. It is in moments of illness that we are compelled to recognize that we live not alone but chained to a creature of a different kingdom, whole worlds apart, who has no knowledge of us and by whom it is impossible to make ourselves understood: our body. Every evening I turn my worries over to God. He’s going to be up all night anyway.
Our time on earth is brief, there are lessons to be learned, each precious day God gives us another page is turned. Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears, Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year. She loved us unconditionally, always by our side, when no one else would listen, in her we could confide. With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way, down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray. She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets; always from her heart let’s not forget angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother; with love I cannot say in words there’ll never be another. Every day I turn the page in my heart with every remain, everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane. Thank you God for giving me the most priceless of all treasures, Help me Lord to keep alive her memory here forever. I pray that I can someday be everything she hoped I would, that is she smiling down from heaven knowing she did an awesome job.
There is a song I so much love; by Steve Wariner (Holes in the floors of heaven) it keeps me going….. (there’s holes in the floor of heaven and her tears are pouring down, that’s how you know she’s watching, wishing she could be here now, and sometimes when I’m lonely, I remember she can see, there’s holes in the floor of heaven, and she’s watching over you and me….)
R.I.P Mum.

Rest well Mum. You are missed
Cancer Awareness month:
Its 6yrs 7 months this October. Some days there are not words to share the love and hurt I feel. Some days there is nothing to write that will make the pain less real. So today I will simply write: I miss you more than words can say, I miss you every day Mum.
October is cancer awareness month!! Take a minute to honor those who battled this disease and thinking of my mum I realize that cancer does not just touch those who have it; it also alters the lives of those who witness it.
Mum fought, and until the last minute she fought like hell. She finished all her therapies; chemo and radio. Though she was very weak; with her hair gone, needles all over, she never gave up, she was hopeful that she will be well; she had to be well; if not for her sake atleast for her baby boys’ sake. But God had other plans for her. It was time for her to rest.
As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit. Mum I want you to know that, your favorite baby, the only boy in the family that you left in class 6 is now a grown man in fourth form waiting to sit for his KCSE in few weeks. He has never lacked, he has never slept hungry or cold. He is always warm. He has more than he needs and he has more than we got when we were at his age. This makes us know that you are at peace seeing him have it all.
Your three daughters are doing perfectly well. We are all healthy and happy. Your husband too. He is doing great. He is all we got now and we always thank God for him. Dad you are loved more than you know.
Cancer took you away from us, in God’s hands you rest and in our hearts you remain forever.
R.I.P. mum.
